OGX Begins Producing Its First Oil

OGX Petróleo e Gás Ltda., a Grupo EBX company, started producing its first oil on the 28th of January in the Waimea Field (Campos Basin).  Recognized as the “first private Brazilian company to produce oil in Brazilian waters,” this event represents a historic moment for OGX. For Habtec, it marks one more successful result in the environmental licensing process.

Habtec has worked in partnership with OGX since 2008, developing environmental studies that have helped to obtain the environmental licenses provided by IBAMA for this oil production, as well as for all of the company´s drilling activities being carried out in the Campos Basin, in Blocks BM-C-39, BM-C-40, BM-C-41, BM-C-42 and BM-C-43.
